Red River Academy believes that education is an essential part of any change. Getting your teen to invest efforts into education and character development can often times, be very trying. Red River Academy uses experience to provide an environment where your teen can re-focus on education and grow toward adulthood.

Red River Academy is ideally located a stones throw from the Red River which weaves through Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Just a short drive from Houston and Dallas, the Red River Academy is located in a rural environment well suited to remove the distractions that keep your teen from putting education and growth back on an appropriate path. Red River Academy's location in the small farming community of Lecompte Louisiana, and pleasant climate of the area, gives your teen the opportunity to take advantage of the outdoor activities.

Red River Academy uses a progressive, competency based curriculum which allows your teen to excel while ensuring the knowledge base necessary for your teen to develop and continue the education. Teachers work with your teen to help education become meaningful and integral to your students life. Meanwhile, school support staff assist with the character development program and coach your child about school standards, responsibilities, and positive citizenship. Students will have opportunities outside of the classroom and school to get involved with service projects which help make the community an even better place to live. The school's campus provides a safe, warm, and distraction-free environment for students with ample outdoor spaces for students to exercise and play games, while interior spaces such as the library give student a variety of positive activities.

Parents and other members of the students families are involved throughout the students placement. Parents can take advantage of personal and family oriented workshops so that when the student returns home the family feels united and included in the progress the child has made. Red River Academy understands the responsibility that parents entrust us with when they enroll their child in our school. Our goal is to make the extra-effort to exceed those expectations.

Red River Academy primary focus is helping troubled teens deal with low self esteem and deals with the following issues: troubled teenagers, defiant teens, drug and alcohol abuse, teens with school problems and authority issues.

Red River Academy offers many powerful tools to assist your teen in creating real and lasting changes. They includes powerful personal growth seminars, an academic curriculum tailored to your teen's educational needs, individualized and group therapeutic activities, a structured and disciplined environment, personal character building audio and video tapes and team building exercises and workshops.

What is the value you would place on your teen's life? Think hard about the answer to this question. Is it $1,000 or $10,000 or $1,000,000? Is there any price you could place on your teen's life? In the next 50 years, how much will your teen contribute to your family and society? Will he or she become a senator, a president, found a successful nonprofit corporation? While we all hope that our children will live to their greatest potential, more often than not, it doesn't happen. You want to give your teen the best chance they can at achieving their dreams.

Attending Red River Academy for a year will cost about the same as a luxury sedan. When all is said and done though, the only thing you have left in your life is your family.
